Getting Started with Garageflo

Welcome to Garageflo! We are excited to have you on board and are confident that you’ll find our platform invaluable for streamlining your shop management processes. To help you get started, this guide will walk you through the initial steps of setting up your Garageflo account, configuring your settings, and getting your shop up and running in no time.

Step 1: Log in to Your Garageflo Account

After registering for Garageflo, you should have received a welcome email containing your login credentials and a link to access the platform. Here’s how to log in for the first time:

  1. Open the email and click on the login link provided.
  2. Enter your credentials (email and password) into the login form.
  3. Click the Login button to access your dashboard.

If you encounter any issues, such as a missing email or trouble logging in, please contact our support team for assistance.

Step 2: Configure Your Account Settings

Once you’ve logged in, the first step is to configure your basic account settings. This ensures your shop's information is correctly displayed and allows you to customize the platform to fit your business needs.

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab in the sidebar menu.
  2. In the Account Details section, fill in the following:
    • Shop Name: Enter the name of your business (e.g., "Example’s Auto Shop").
    • Description: Provide a short description of your shop or services. This will be visible on your profile and invoices.
    • Domain: If you have a custom domain (e.g.yourshop.garageflo.pro), enter it here.

Click Save to ensure your details are updated.

Step 3: Add Locations (Optional)

If your shop operates across multiple locations, you can set these up now:

  1. Click the Locations tab on the left sidebar.
  2. If you would like to create a location, press the plus icon on the locations page, then follow steps 3. and 4. Else skip to step 5.
  3. Enter the name, address, and contact details for each location.
  4. Assign a primary location if applicable.
  5. Select a location to edit.
  6. By default the default Outside Lot will receive all new jobs, both customer booked, and manually created jobs.

This feature allows you to manage multiple locations within one account seamlessly.

Step 4: Customize Your Platform Settings

Garageflo allows you to tailor the platform to your shop’s specific needs. Here are some key configurations to complete next:

  1. User Management:
    • Go to the Users tab and add staff members to your account.
    • Assign roles and permissions to ensure the right people have access to the appropriate features.
  2. Services:
    • In the Services section, add the services your shop offers (e.g., oil changes, tire replacements, engine diagnostics).
    • Specify details like service names, descriptions, prices, and estimated completion times.
  3. Notifications:
    • Configure email and SMS notifications to keep your customers informed about bookings, reminders, and updates.
  4. Billing and Payments:
    • Set up your payment preferences by linking your Stripe account for invoice and payment processing.

Step 5: Import Existing Data

To save time and get started quickly, Garageflo supports multiple methods of importing your existing data. You can:

  1. Sync customers and invoices from QuickBooks Online or Stripe.
  2. Import customer data using a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file. Simply upload your file under the Import Data tab in the Settings menu.

This ensures a smooth transition and reduces manual data entry.

Step 6: Explore Optional Tasks

Garageflo offers a variety of advanced features designed to optimize your workflow. These include:

  • Analytics and Reports: Gain insights into your shop’s performance and financials, click Analytics tab on the left sidebar.
  • Customer Booking: Contact garageflo to setup embedded customer booking on your website if eligible.
  • Integrations: Take advantage of our integrations with platforms like QuickBooks, PartsTech, and Stripe for even greater efficiency.
