Creating a Suggestion or Bug Report

The Help Section in Garageflo is designed to assist you with submitting bug reports or suggestions for improving the platform. Follow these simple steps to use the Help Section effectively.

Step 1: Open the Help Section

  • Locate the Help Button:
    Look for the Help button at the bottom of the sidebar on the Garageflo platform.
  • Click the Help Button:
    This will open the Help Page.

Step 2: Choose an Action

On the Help Page, you'll see three main options. For now, we’ll focus on Bug Reports and Suggestions.

  • Click the Big Card Button for Bug Reports and Suggestions:
    Look for the card labeled "Submit Bug Report or Suggestion". Click it to open the form.

Step 3: Fill Out the Form

After clicking the card, a dialog form will appear. Follow these steps to complete the form:

1. Select a Feature

  • Use the Feature Dropdown to select which garageflo feature your report relates to.
    Example: If you're experiencing issues with the payments, select "Payments."
  • If your suggestion is for a new feature, choose the feature that best matches the area you think it belongs in.

2. Choose Bug or Suggestion

  • Use the Radio Buttons to select whether your report is a:
    • Bug Report: For reporting software issues or errors.
    • Suggestion: For recommending new features or improvements.

💡 Tip: Suggestions should only be for new features or enhancements, while bugs should detail software problems.

3. Add a Title

  • Provide a clear and concise title for your report.
    Example: "Error When Adding Appointments" or "Suggestion for Automated Reminders."

4. Attach a Screenshot (Optional)

  • If possible, attach a screenshot showing the issue or illustrating your suggestion.
    • Screenshots help garageflo administrators better understand and resolve your report.

5. Write a Detailed Description

  • Describe the bug or suggestion in detail.
    • For bugs: Include what you were trying to do, what went wrong, and any error messages you saw.
    • For suggestions: Explain your idea and how it could improve the platform.

Step 4: Submit the Report

  • Click the Submit Button to send your report.
  • Once submitted, the report will be handled by garageflo administration.

Step 5: Track Your Report

After submitting your report, you can track its progress:

  1. Go back to the Help Page.
  2. Find your report in either:
    • My Bug Reports: For bug-related submissions.
    • My Suggestions: For suggestion-related submissions.
  3. Click on an Existing Report:
    This will open the report details, where you can view its current status:
    • Pending: The report is awaiting review.
    • Completed: The report has been addressed.
    • Dismissed: The report has been reviewed but won't be implemented.
